C. Thomas Potter, II
We have been very fortunate to have completed our first semester of the 2016 – 2017 school year without any snow days; however with the unpredictable weather patterns commonly associated with winter we need to be prepared to utilize our Non-Traditional Instructional days as needed. I want to take a moment to acknowledge the tremendous support we experienced last year from all stakeholders when the decision was made to utilize these days. I am extremely hopeful that this year will be as much of a success as the last.
Below is a brief overview of the NTI day options included in our current plan. If any of you have questions please feel free to contact your child’s school directly or central office to discuss any concerns. Someone will be happy to assist in getting your questions answered right away.
NTI Day Plan A:
Busses will not run. Students and Teachers will work from home from pre-selected packets or online information.
Teachers will be available online and via telephone throughout the day to monitor student participation and to offer feedback.
NTI Day Plan B:
Busses will not run. Teachers and staff will report to the schools at 9:00 a.m. They will be available online and via telephone. Students will have the opportunity to report to school between 12:00 and 3:00 for direct instruction, if road conditions are safe enough for parents to transport them.
Thanks again for your continued support,
C. Thomas Potter II, Ed.D
