For the first time in school history, Elliott County High School can boast about a female cross country scholarship winner. Amber Moore has earned that honor, having signed to participate in the award-winning cross country program at the University of Pikeville. Amber is the daughter of Wayne and Kristy Moore, and has been involved in a variety of extracurricular athletic and academic events throughout her school career.
ECHS Track and Cross Country Coach, Nancy Sloas, believes that Amber's accomplishment is a vital example for younger female athletes that courage and perseverance pay off. The faculty and staff of Elliott County Schools is very proud of Amber and wish her the best of luck in her future!
