Steven Cole Porter Memorial Scholarship
To qualify for the $1,000 Steven Cole Porter Memorial Scholarship, applicants must have maintained a GPA of at least a 2.5 or higher and must provide a copy of their transcript. The deadline to submit the application is April 9, 2021. A one-page essay, explained below, will also be required for the submission of the Steven Cole Porter Memorial Scholarship.
Along with being a student and an Elliott County High School Basketball player, Steven Cole Porter was also a son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend to so many people. In the short amount of time that Steven spent on Earth with us, he touched our lives in a way that we would love to pass along to a deserving student. His love for life and determination to reach his goals was a character trait that he carried well and one of the many reasons why he was adored by his family, friends, and teachers.
