I just wanted to reach out about our Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute (ELI), which is a weeklong camp at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset held on July 26-30, 2021. Students in grades 9-11 are eligible to apply. Deadline is March 31st. All lodging, meals, and program expenses are covered at no cost to the students or their parents.
This camp is based around a "shark tank" like competition. Students work in groups to create their own business or product idea. Each group has to pitch the idea to a panel of entrepreneurs at the end of the week. Each member of the winning team receives a $16,000 scholarship to Eastern Kentucky University. Students spend the week at The Center and stay at the hotel next door.
