Yesterday afternoon Governor Beshear issued an executive order requiring masks inside school buildings and on school buses for everyone who doesn't have a specific, documented exemption.  Hopefully, this will enable us to continue in-person instruction while also protecting the health of students who are not old enough to receive the vaccine.

Also, yesterday evening, the Elliott County Board of Education approved a "Continuity of Services Plan."  This plan details the various steps that will be taken to keep our students safe during the pandemic, while also providing them with in-person instruction.  The plan also addresses the needs of students and family members who need to pursue their education virtually.  The complete document is available on the Elliott County Schools website at www.elliott.kyschools.us.

We are excited to begin a new school year, and have high hopes for a healthy, productive year!
