The Elliott County School District is excited to partner with King's Daughters Medical Center to provide a walk-in clinic at school that staff and students may utilize during the school day. The "Walk-in Care for Schools" program will provide on-site well-child exams, as well as sick visits, prescriptions sent to the pharmacy, and various lab tests. This service will ensure fewer missed school days, fewer missed work days for parents, faster access to appointments and care, fewer emergency room visits, better management of chronic diseases, and improved academic performance. Information and consent packets were sent home with students last week, and must be received by the clinic director prior to receiving medical services. Services will begin January 2, 2023.
