Elliott County school district is excited to announce that Lady Lions Head Coach, Abby Adkins has officially been named as the new Athletic Director. Adkins, who is in her second year leading the Lady Lions has been acting interim director since mid-November. She will continue her duties as Head Coach, while taking on her new role as director of the district’s athletic programs. Abby is a 2021 graduate of Elliott County High School, where she was a standout varsity basketball player and cross country runner, setting several school records during her tenure. She continued her athletic career as a Lady Bear at the University of Pikeville, and currently holds a Masters of Education degree in Secondary English. Abby is looking forward to her new role, with plans to focus on current programs, as well as develop new ones that will lead Elliott County athletics to a successful future. Congratulations, Coach Abby Adkins.
