🌟 The 7th and 8th grade JAG students at ECMS showcased their leadership potential by delivering
powerful campaign speeches for student officer positions. Each student spoke with confidence and passion, sharing their ideas on how they could make a positive difference in our school. Their dedication, school spirit, and eagerness to step up as role models for their peers was truly inspiring. A special thank you goes to Mr. Gillum for allowing me to join and be part of such an encouraging and memorable experience. We are so proud of these outstanding students who are growing into the leaders of the future! 👏✨

🔦✨ Our 6th graders dove into OpenSciEd Unit 6.1 with some hands-on science! Using the Box Model Investigation, they explored how light behaves in different conditions — testing one-sided and two-sided flashlight setups to observe shadows, reflection, and more. 🔍💡 Love seeing their curiosity shine just as bright as the lights they used! #ECMS #FutureScientists

Elliott County Bus Routes for 2025-2026
To better serve our students and improve efficiency, bus routes have been updated for the new year. These changes were made to accommodate enrollment shifts within our district. If you have questions or need additional assistance, please contact Whitney Moore (Transportation Director) -whitney.moore@elliott.kyschools.us. Staff will be available to help ensure a smooth transition during loading and unloading at the school locations.
We kindly ask that students arrive at their designated bus stop at least 10 minutes early during the first couple weeks, as routes adjust to real-time traffic and ridership. If you bring the student to school the first morning, then we ask that you pick them up that afternoon to ensure the driver knows the student's location for drop off. We ask that the first time the student rides the bus home that they were picked up at that location for the morning route for student safety.
We appreciate your cooperation and support as we work to provide safe and reliable transportation for our students. Thank you for your continued partnership in making this a successful school year.
