Through the generosity of our community, we were able to offer families clothing items, hand out over 60 meal grab bags and 27 crockpots! With the help of the Elliott County Fiscal Court, we were also able to distribute over 100 hygiene bags! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this event. Your generosity makes a real difference for our students and families. Thank you for helping us take care of our own!

August 18th was a huge day for Elliott County Golf at the All A Region Tournament, and we are incredibly proud of how our entire team performed. The Boys Take the Region Title: Our Elliott County Lions brought home the win as All A Region Champions and are officially heading to Richmond to represent us at the All A State Tournament. Junior Jaxon Salyers led the pack with an impressive score of 43. Seventh grader Luke Howard was right on his heels with a 44, followed closely by freshman Grady Harper and senior Canaan Arrowood, who both turned in solid rounds of 45. Sophomore Lincoln Sturgill rounded out the squad with a 51. These boys played with relentless grit, heart, and teamwork from the first hole to the last. The Girls Secure Their Spot at State: Not to be outdone; our Lady Lions put on an absolute clinic on the course, earning two individual spots at the All A State Tournament in Richmond. Freshman Maryn Sturgill blew past the competition to take 1st place overall with a stellar score of 45, showcasing incredible focus and control. Junior Mia West delivered a clutch performance of her own, firing a 52 to secure 2nd place individually. Both Maryn and Mia showed unbelievable poise under pressure, proving that the future of our girls' golf program is bright, relentless, and ready for the big stage. Congratulations to all of our golfers on an incredible showing at the All A Region Tournament. Let’s go, Lions!

FRYSC Free Yard Sale 🎒👕 Just a reminder that FRYSC is hosting a FREE yard sale TOMORROW from 4:00–6:00 PM during the Middle School & High School Open House! This event is designed to help students and families with back-to-school clothing needs. Parents and guardians can also sign up for the other resources and programs FRYSC offers throughout the school year. We will also have: 🍎 Grab bags with weekend breakfast and lunch options 🍲 Crockpots — one per household, while supplies last Crockpots and grab bags will be available first come, first served, so be sure to stop by early! 📅 Tomorrow — August 19 ⏰ 4:00–6:00 PM 📍 Middle School & High School Open House We look forward to seeing our families there! 💙

We’re making the most of our final week before students arrive! 📚✏️ Today, our K–5 teachers from Elliott Primary and Elliott Intermediate came together for professional learning focused on Reading & Writing Strategies with Angela Hiltebrand. Teachers spent the day learning, collaborating, and gathering practical strategies to take right back to their classrooms. School starts next week, and we’re squeezing in lots of learning this week to make sure we’re ready for our students! ❤️🦁📖

Elliott County Schools is pleased to continue participating in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2026–2027 school year. Through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), all students at Elliott County Primary, Intermediate, Middle, and High Schools will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost each school day. We are proud to provide nutritious meals that help fuel our students for learning and success throughout the school year. ❤️💛🦁

Elliott County Schools is pleased to announce that our district has been awarded a Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) grant for the 2026–2027 school year. Through this program, students in grades K–5 will be provided a fresh fruit or vegetable snack three days each week—Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We are grateful for this opportunity to promote healthy choices, introduce students to a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, and support lifelong healthy habits. 🍎🥕

☀️🍎 A Summer of Serving Our Community! This summer, Elliott County Schools was proud to provide meals to children throughout our community through the Summer Feeding Program. We are thankful for everyone who helped make these 8 weeks possible and for the continued support that allows us to serve our children and families. This year, Opening Day at Elliott County Schools not only marked the beginning of a new school year, it provided an opportunity for faculty and staff from all schools to come together for some fun, games, and door prizes. Our Lion leaders participated in activities such as Bingo and the Wet Water Whistle and Sky Is The Limit challenge, all while working together and kicking off the new year with laughs and excitement.
