💜🩵 Together in Love, Forever in Our Hearts — Jaleigh 🩵💜
This Thursday, we invite our students, staff, families, and community members who would like to participate to wear purple, teal, or lavender in honor of Jaleigh. This is a simple way for us to come together, remember a very special young lady, and surround her family, friends, classmates, and loved ones with support. 💜
If you don’t have purple, teal, or lavender, you are welcome to wear yellow, green, or white—colors that can represent hope, mental health awareness, remembrance, peace, and support. 💛💚🤍
Above all, we want every student to know: you matter, you are important, and you are loved. If you are struggling or simply need someone to talk to, please reach out to a trusted adult, counselor, teacher, friend, or someone you feel safe with. You never have to carry a difficult moment alone.
Please help us share the word as we come together this Thursday to honor Jaleigh and keep her light shining in our hearts. 💜🩵

✨ Long weekend ahead, Lions! ✨
Just a reminder — NO SCHOOL this Friday or Monday! 🦁❤️
🇺🇸 Monday is Labor Day, and we hope all of our students, staff, and families enjoy the extra-long weekend!
Have fun, stay safe, and enjoy the Tobacco Festival weekend! 🎡✨
❤️ Give this a share and help us spread the word

The girls golf team brought their A-game to the EKC tournament on August 24th at Hidden Cove, firing a total score of 259 to take home 2nd place overall. Huge shoutout to Maryn for an incredible round- shooting her way to 3rd place individually!

Our Varsity squad is at West Carter High School tonight for the All "A" Region bye-In game! We’re looking to punch our ticket to the regional bracket. Make the short trip to Olive Hill this evening to show your support!

August 18th was a huge day for Elliott County Golf at the All A Region Tournament, and we are incredibly proud of how our entire team performed.
The Boys Take the Region Title: Our Elliott County Lions brought home the win as All A Region Champions and are officially heading to Richmond to represent us at the All A State Tournament. Junior Jaxon Salyers led the pack with an impressive score of 43. Seventh grader Luke Howard was right on his heels with a 44, followed closely by freshman Grady Harper and senior Canaan Arrowood, who both turned in solid rounds of 45. Sophomore Lincoln Sturgill rounded out the squad with a 51. These boys played with relentless grit, heart, and teamwork from the first hole to the last.
The Girls Secure Their Spot at State: Not to be outdone; our Lady Lions put on an absolute clinic on the course, earning two individual spots at the All A State Tournament in Richmond. Freshman Maryn Sturgill blew past the competition to take 1st place overall with a stellar score of 45, showcasing incredible focus and control. Junior Mia West delivered a clutch performance of her own, firing a 52 to secure 2nd place individually. Both Maryn and Mia showed unbelievable poise under pressure, proving that the future of our girls' golf program is bright, relentless, and ready for the big stage.
Congratulations to all of our golfers on an incredible showing at the All A Region Tournament. Let’s go, Lions!

Final parachute game with our seniors 🪂💛
Thank you for being such a special part of our school community. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things your future holds — congratulations seniors! 🎓✨

The YSC would like to give a huge THANK YOU to this amazing group of seniors (plus a few more not pictured) for helping with our 8th grade transition to high school!
These students led our 8th graders through the high school, introduced them to pathway teachers and core content teachers, and shared helpful tips and personal experiences about high school life.
We hope this experience helped our incoming freshman class feel more excited and confident as they take this next step in their academic journey. Thank you again to our seniors for being such great role models!

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Emily Adkins as the new Principal of Elliott County High School! 🦁❤️
Mrs. Adkins brings a passion for student success, strong leadership, and a commitment to building positive relationships with students, staff, families, and our community. We are excited for the future of Elliott County High School and look forward to the impact she will make in this new role!
Congratulations, Mrs. Adkins — your Lion family is excited to support you on this journey! 🎉📚 #ElliottCountySchools #LionPride #ECHS #WelcomeMrsAdkins

On Thursday, our FRYSC–YSC had the honor of welcoming Miss Kentucky to speak with our high school students. She shared her inspiring story and reminded our students of the power of perseverance, purpose, and using your voice.
What made the day even more special was that our FFA students were able to present her with a Raising Hope Challenge Coin!
It’s a great day to be a Lion!!
👏🏼😊🦁💫🌸

Sometimes we all need a little extra support, and today the FRYSC was thankful to provide food boxes to families in our community ❤️
If you or someone you know could use a helping hand, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the FRYSC. We are always here to support our Lions family! 🦁📦

Today was an incredible opportunity as Elliott JAG brought a group of young adults to Marathon Marine in Ashland, KY for Career Day! They had the chance to explore career pathways, learn about opportunities in the marine industry, and see firsthand how skills, hard work, and dedication can lead to exciting futures. Thank you to Marathon Marine for investing in the next generation and inspiring our students as they begin thinking about their own career journeys! Where’s the job applications???

Real-life learning happening in JAG! 👏🦁
Adulting isn’t always easy—and learning how to navigate the real world can feel overwhelming for young adults. Today, our JAG students took on an important life skill by learning how to make a doctor’s appointment! ☎️🩺
With the help of our school nurse, Christian Evans, students practiced answering questions, explaining their “ailments,” and building confidence in handling real-life situations. 💪✨
The nerves were definitely there at first, but they did an AMAZING job stepping outside their comfort zones and gaining valuable experience for the future!
A huge THANK YOU to Christian Evans for taking the time to help our students today! ❤️
